Chefchaouen also known as Chaouen, is a city in northwest Morocco. It is the main town of the province of the same name and is famous for its buildings in blue.

Chefchaouen (Arabic: شفشاون‎ Shafshāwan [ʃəfˈʃɑːwən]; Berber languages: ⴰⵛⵛⴰⵡⵏ Ashawen).

Chefchaouen is situated just inland from Tangier and Tétouan.
