Generative Art by the author.

Let’s talk about two cool ways to make art using computers.

Generative Art and AI Art. They’re like cousins — similar but different!

Generative Art:
Imagine you’re playing with a super-smart Lego set. You give it some rules, like “use only red and blue blocks,” and it builds something amazing all by itself! That’s kind of like generative art.

The artist sets up rules or a special computer program, and it makes art on its own.

AI Art:
Now, think about a robot that has looked at thousands of paintings and learned how to paint.

You can tell this robot, “Paint me a picture of a purple elephant riding a bicycle,” and it will create it!

That’s more like AI art.

It uses really smart computer brains to make art based on what you ask for.

Both types of art use computers to help create cool stuff, but they do it in different ways.

With generative art, you’re setting up a system to make art.

With AI art, you’re asking a super-smart computer to make art for you.
