The Gerry Center, and the Instinct Digital Daily Line Art
The Getty Center will reopen tomorrow, Nov 2 after closure to the public, as a result of the Getty Fire burning nearby.
The museum was designed by architect Richard Meier.
Located in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, the Center is one of two locations of the J. Paul Getty Museum. It draws about 1.8 million visitors annually.
The Getty Museum’s collection features Greek, Roman, and Etruscan art from Neolithic to Late Antiquity.
European art, including illuminated manuscripts, paintings, drawings, sculptures and decorative arts.
Among the artworks on display is the Vincent Van Gogh painting Irises.
Since the Middle Ages to the early 20th century.
And international photography from its creation to the present day.
The museum has said it got no damage to its buildings or artworks in its collection.
