Traveling to Portugal.

Tempo de Travessia. Fernando Pessoa. (in Portuguese).

There is a time when it is necessary to abandon the used clothes, which already have the shape of our body, and to forget our paths, which takes us always to the same places. This is the time to cross the river: and if we don’t dare to do it, we will have stayed, forever beneath ourselves. ~Fernando Pessoa.

Portrait of Pessoa, 1914.

Fernando António Nogueira Pessoa was a Portuguese poet, writer, literary critic, translator, publisher, and philosopher, one of the most significant literary figures of the 20th century and one of the greatest poets in the Portuguese language.

On my trip to Portugal, I took only one suitcase, a “carry-on”, nothing more …this makes life easier, especially if we are traveling alone.
To tidy it up, I put clothes in the recyclable garbage bin.
