Drainage Canals in Japan are so clean…that they have Koi Fish.
There are some towns in Japan where the locals raise koi in the drainage canals.
In the city of Shimabara on Japan’s Kyushu island…
Shimabara is known as the “City of Swimming Carp,” and has become a popular destination for tourists.
The street’s gutters are so clean they are home to hundreds of koi carp.
The fishes show vibrant hues of white, black, red, and orange.
