It’s so easy to be scared at first and wonders if you’ll ever be able to do it, but you know what? You haven’t before.
That’s how life is, and it’s not going to stop now. You’re doing these things for the first time with this body and these hands, in this place on this planet so far away from everything else that has ever existed or will exist.
Your entire life is about trying for the first time.
It starts out tentative and then grows more confident by the day.

As a child, I didn’t know that I was going to try harder than anyone had ever tried before, and I didn’t know that I would try more things and in more ways than anyone I know.
I didn’t know that some of the things I would be most proud of are things like learning to read, finishing civil engineering, drawing something new, or writing my name on paintings.
