What’s digital art?
Digital art is an artistic work or practice that uses digital technology as part of the creative or presentation process. Since the 1960s, various names have been used to describe the process, including computer art and multimedia art. Digital art is itself placed under the larger umbrella term new media art. Wikipedia.

Artists can work in both mediums, but depending on the projects some of them work better in digital format.
For sure a lot of artists couldn’t do the painting of their work in a traditional way quite as well as they could in digital because they don’t have near the amount of practice controlling the medium.
And for others …they can not work with technology and remains working with pens, ink, brush and wait for dry time…
