How Rembrandt Can Help You Improve Your Health?

Art is good for you, so… Inspiring you to appreciate art or and create drawings.

And What I Wish Everyone Knew About Rembrandt.

Dutch artist Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn is one the most important and influential figures in the history of art.

Rembrandt 1606–1669, was at the forefront of the Dutch Golden Age, a prosperous period covering the 17th century.

Rembrandt van Rijn had a lifelong interest in the humanity of his subjects.

Here I’m going to show you some of his self portraits… sketched portraits.

Rembrandt created these drawings when he was in his early 20s, from 1625 to 1631.

And during this time he produced many drawings in preparation for paintings and etchings.

Inspired by people he saw on the streets, Rembrandt often depicted people living in poverty. He incorporated them as bystanders in his biblical compositions.

In his self portraits he used his quill pen with lightning speed to jot down the figure in a sequence of rapid strokes.
