A friend's word now is ‘simplify’.
He is making things simpler in his content business and life.
He told me that…
This week he quit his niche blogs after 8 years of blogging. Here’s why:
1. I can’t compete with big companies spending huge amounts on SEO. As a small blogger, I can’t get much search traffic.
2. Google doesn’t prioritize affiliate blogs like mine in search results anymore with its updates rewarding high-quality, satisfying content.
3. I hated dealing with the backend tasks — domains, designs, plugins, spam comments/emails, etc. It was overwhelming.

5. Running blogs costs money for hosting, domains, software, etc. The profits didn’t justify the costs and time.
Instead, I now use these platforms:
Medium — I’ve been on here since 2018 and have a following. I can still earn some money through their partner program and affiliates.
