In Sports
Dribbling is moving carefully a ball by one player in a given direction, avoiding defenders’ attempts to intercept the ball.
A successful dribble will bring the ball past defenders legally and create opportunities to score.
What are the steps of dribbling?
- Keep the ball low. The ball should bounce somewhere between your knee and hip.
- Be aware of where the ball bounces. If you are in the open court, the ball should be in front of you.
- Keep your body between your defender and the ball.
- Look up.
- Change your speed.
- Don’t stop.
- Pass the ball.
A dribble is one of the most difficult ball skills to master.
In typical gameplay, players attempt to propel the ball toward their opponents’ goal through individual control of the ball, such as by dribbling.
