Once upon a time, there was a small village in the Northeast of Brazil where the people were known for their delicious homemade bread. The bread was so good that it was said to be blessed by the angels.

One day, the devil, who was jealous of the village’s success, decided to sabotage their bread. He snuck into the village at night and cast a spell on the villagers’ dough, causing it to turn hard and inedible.

The villagers were devastated. They had no idea what had gone wrong with their bread and couldn’t understand why their once-perfect loaves were now ruined.

Desperate for a solution, the village elder suggested they seek help from a wise old witch who lived in the nearby jungle. The villagers gathered their remaining ingredients and set off on the journey.

When they reached the witch’s cottage, they explained their problem and begged for her help. The witch listened patiently and then revealed that the devil had indeed cast a spell on their dough.

But she had the plan to break the curse. She instructed the villagers to gather a sprig of rosemary, a clove of garlic, and a pinch of salt and add them to their dough before baking.
