In our world, there are five places where people are living considerably longer, healthier and happier lives.
Blue zones are regions of the world thought to have a higher than a usual number of people living much longer than average.
Okinawa (Japan). Sardinia (Italy). Nicoya (Costa Rica). Icaria (Greece). And Loma Linda (California, USA).
What are the Blue Zones' secrets?
There is five important food to every Blue Zone diet:
Whole grains, greens, tuberous (sweet potatoes or potatoes), nuts, and beans.
The most important one is beans. A cup of beans a day could add two to three years to your life.
What do people in the blue zones drink?
They drink a daily cup of coffee, drink water, tea, and wine.
People in all blue zones, except Adventists, drink alcohol moderately and regularly.
