A pattern is a regularity in the world, a repetition, in design made by a person, or in abstract ideas.

Something that repeats in a predictable way is a pattern.

The pattern is defined as making a copy based on a model.

In Nature

The beauty of natural patterns.

Nature has many kinds of patterns, including symmetries, trees, and other structures with a fractal dimension, waves, cracks, spirals, meanders, foams, and stripes.

Waves, dunes

As the wind passes over sand, it creates patterns of dunes.

Waves are disturbances that carry energy as they move.

Wind waves are surface waves that create the chaotic patterns of the sea.

Cracks

Cracks form in materials to relieve stress.
