What is Algorithmic Art?
An algorithm is like a recipe.
Algorithmic art or algorithm art is art, mostly visual art, in which the design is generated by an algorithm with an artist's image or not.
The image above was created by a computer from my analog painting, so I’m the co-created, with a computer. The software program is my partner.
There is no consensus if the product of an algorithm that operates on an existing image can still be considered computer-generated art, as opposed to computer-assisted art (my artwork on the top).
The image above is more an example of computer-assisted art.
And I listed it as an NFT on OpenSea.com
Algorithmic artists are sometimes called algorists.
An algorithm is like a recipe. It’s a step-by-step method of solving a problem. And it’s one of the building blocks of computer science.
Algorithmic art is also a form of computer art.
An algorithm is a set of instructions for solving a problem or accomplishing a task. One common example of an algorithm is a recipe, which consists of specific instructions for preparing a dish or meal.
