The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short, but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.”- Michelangelo.

Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni, known as Michelangelo, was born in Florence, his work was inspired by models from classical antiquity and had a lasting influence on Western art.

His creative abilities and mastery define him as a Renaissance man, along with his rival and elder contemporary, Leonardo da Vinci.

Based on the volume of surviving sketches, and reminiscences, Michelangelo is one of the best-documented artists of the 16th century.

He was the most accomplished artist of his era.

Michelangelo Poet.

Love for a lady’s different. Not much
in that for a wise and virile lover’s trouble.

— John Frederick Nim, translation.

That burns me from afar and keeps itself ice-chill;
A strength I feel two shapely arms to fill
Which without motion moves every balance.
