In 1954, Lewis accepted the newly founded chair of Mediaeval and Renaissance Literature at Magdalene College, Cambridge. It’s located in Central Cambridge.
He maintained a strong connection with the city of Oxford. He has a home there and returning on weekends until his death in 1963.
Lewis wrote more than 30 books which have been translated into more than 30 languages and have sold millions of copies.
