The phrase I talked about in the last story “measure twice, cut once” emphasizes the value of planning and preparation, but what about the notion of “hats you can see ahead”?

This intriguing statement suggests an even deeper level of foresight and strategic thinking.

Seeing the “hats” or potential obstacles and challenges that lie ahead allows us to proactively address them, rather than reacting in the moment.

It’s akin to the woodworker measuring twice — but in this case, it’s about scanning the horizon and anticipating what’s to come.
